The HBO 24/7 episode is on Youtube too but when I checked earlier to watch it, it said it was unavailable to watch from your country...hopefully HBO sort that out, always like the Canelo ones and good to see a guy like Kirkland telling his story.

yeah I watched it only tonight.
Will find a link and post it - 24/7 style

    Hi - I'm Jim Lampley

Now here you go : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgIkAtgyZqc&hd=1

Now no refunds for anybody betting on Canelo.
Don't say I didn't told you all so come Sunday morning.

J.K comes with bad intentions - he's going to put hurt on this unusual Mexican

11/2 Kirkland by KO or TKO I'll have €10 on that & see how Canelo reacts when he takes a clean shot from Kirkland!

Anyone hear the reason why Kirkland left Ann Wolfe? Seemed like a bit of a sore point for Kirkland in that 24/7 episode.

Alvarez by handy stoppage. Kirkland hasn't a bull hope, I'll eat my hat if he lasts the distance.

I'd say Kirkland is just about waking up from that now...

I don't know how much Geale has left, but Cotto is very beatable above 147. Even though most acknowledge Sergio was shot, that win has seemingly blinded people to just how vulnerable Cotto has looked as a JMW.

I lost my dignity, 50 quid and a load of street cred.

    There..... I said it .

Kirkland now returns to a life of crime I fear . Thats probably the last we ever see of him.

No worries. Nobody gets them all right.

I was genuinely afraid when you hadn't appeared here for a few days, you had lost a significant sum, so at least that's not the case.

In fairness, you'll never be known as an aftertimer. You had the courage to nail your colours to the mast from a looooong way out and had the decency to come back after and say 'I was wrong'. There's not too many like that.

While Canelo was the superior fighter you have to admire Kirkland's stamina as he took some vicious head shots before the inevitable end.

Biggest challenge of his career now seeing if he has the discipline to carry on and remain out of trouble.

Kirkland's main issue is that he is overeager to fight. The guy has natural skills and balance. Maybe he needs a firm coach to tell him to tone it down and to think that bit more. Box his way in more and don't be afraid to "stink" it out every so often. Become less eager and more slick and cute. Is that possible? Or does he know no other way?

I'd say he knows no other way.
It just seems to be his nature to try and overwhelm his opponent. In fairness, it's worked against a lot of good opponents (the Ishida result still confuses me).

Whatever anyone thinks of his personal life, the guy is as brave as they come when in the ring and doesn't seem to care about what's coming back at him.

I thought the same, very "gung ho" from the opening bell. It's a high risk way to start, you could easily punch yourself out in a minute or two while not rightly warmed up.

If you watvh ir again , Kirkland started off slipping everything and scoring.
It was only when he got hit flush did it all go out the window.
He reverted to his natural instinct of throwing till somebody drops.

Great fight , I was hopping around the room

I wonder why he split with Ann Wolfe, she seemed to bring out the best in him.

He felt she wasn't the right person to improve him technically. At least that's the official stance.
