I got a new battery, charging well and all leads in place etc., but still every second morning car turns on but wont start so have to run it down hill to get it going, could it be a lose wire, lights and radio all off before locking car up night before

Does it swing and not fire up or not swing when you turn the key to start. On another note if your car has a dual mass flywheel jump starting it wont do it any favours.

He means do you hear the starter motor try to turn over the car, or is nothing when you turn the key. Also does the the dash light up when you turn the key, like it normally should? Could be a problem with the spark leads.

If it is ONLY happening in mornings then i'm going to guess that the coolant temperature sensor is faulty, and giving a false high reading. It won't be so much of an issue during the afternoon when it is warmer, but the recent cold mornings might be a bit too cold.

Possible starter motor, or engine earth.

So are you saying that the battery is flat when you are starting it.

So if the battery is ok, and is being charged, and is going flat , then it looks like you have a drain when it is switched off.
You need to have this checked with an amp meter or preferably an amp clamp.
