Mirror casing, Polo

    hi,i'm looking to buy a plastic mirror casing for a 00 vw polo but they seem to be very thin on the ground.i dont need the mirror or electrics just the casing. does anyone know if any other make/model similar part is compatible with the polo part. cheers.

    No them things are model specific. Have you tried local breakers or the likes of partfinder/findapart.ie? I find it difficult to see how they could be that hard come upon. If you wanted one that bad, I'm sure a main dealer would sort you out, at a price!

    You can also order one off of ebay and have them delivered. Some sellers will offer to spray it for you too before delivery if you've got the paint code.

    +1 for ebay, I got a complete mirror assembly there for not too much. Be sure to check it has convex glass though, if that matters to you.

    hi, thanks for reply's. i have tried all local scrap yards for the part but to no avail. i dont want to go down the main dealer route as i'd pay two or three times what i would if i bought the part in the scrappy. i'll have a look at your suggestions and see how it goes. cheers.
