We're planning our honeymoon for September this year currently, and we're looking at Morocco as an option. What we're looking for mainly is somewhere chilled out, reasonably priced and with plenty of activities like spa, diving, excursions etc.

From anyone who might have been to Morocco - does it seem like right place, or should we be looking elsewhere?

    Hi Bawnmore,

We are in a similar position at the minute too, we are trying to organise our honeymoon from the middle to the end of September.

We hadn't considered Morocco, but i will be keeping an eye on this thread to see if there are any good tips.

    As for other ideas...
We were thinking about the Maldives or Mauritius etc
We were also considering a 5 day safari and then maybe a week or 10 days on a beach.

We're also looking similar destinations, but they seem to be outside our limited enough budget :) Best of luck with the planning and congrats!

I have been to Morocco several times, I highly recommend visiting the country as it's filled with beautiful exotic places to visit, food is great and there is a huge variety of food (do some research in different websites such as tripadvisor in order to pick the most rated places) there are restaurants where you can learn how to cook the meal that you choose for 15 EUR to 20 EUR.

I haven't been to Morocco for the purpose of a honeymoon but based on your request I will recommend the south of Morocco, my guess is that temperatures will be similar to the canaries so in around 30 degrees during the day, Agadir http://www.tripadvisor.ie/Tourism-g293731-Agadir_Souss_Massa_Draa_Region-Vacations.html, Legzira http://www.tripadvisor.ie/Attraction_Review-g793713-d2164308-Reviews-Legzira_Beach-Sidi_Ifni_Souss_Massa_Draa_Region.html and Essaouira http://www.tripadvisor.ie/Tourism-g298349-Essaouira_Marrakech_Tensift_El_Haouz_Region-Vacations.html would be my favorite destinations in the south of Morocco, you can add Marrakesh if you want some sightseeing, flights with Ryanair return to Marrakech are cheap enough, around the 150 EUR and food isn't expensive. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions :).
