No eFibre or UPC in house

Hope someone can help me. I moved house and I can't get eFibre or UPC broadband. Is there any way to get a private line? Do the business broadband plans run on the same lines as the residential? I work from home and really need proper broadband.

No idea unfortunately. I was quoted 4mb on phone.

The small business lines are normally run on the same as the residential tech, so no good to you there.

You could rent a leased line, but that is very big money.

You should really check broadband first before moving home if it is important to your work/leisure.

Hindsight is a great thing.

But it's South Circular Road, Dublin. Stupidly assumed broadband would be available.

4Mb should be sufficient to work from home unless you need to transfer a lot of large files...

there are a few eFibre cabs still to be commissioned in that area so you may be able to get it in the next few months.

You could try a combo of consistent 4Mb for regular use and a 4G phone or dongle connection for large downloads and uploads. Maybe someone here could tell you which provider has the best 4g in your area

Try going on UPC website and inputting ur address for service,or ring them.Its possible that the service pass along ur residence.

4G would be faster, but the usage allowance would kill you.

Not sure what the wireless provider situation is like in Dublin, probably non-existent.

Maybe get magnet without a contract and wait for efibre or ESBT's FTTH, dunno if it's happening in Dublin though.
