I'd say since it's been dead so long, it's unrecoverable. Wiser heads than mine could possibly give you a different opinion.

Lidl were doing car battery chargers last week, there might still be a few in stock in your local. €20 for the cheaper one, if the battery can be recharged, it'll do it. 28 days to return it too if it doesn't work for you.

You need to spend more than a lidl charger to try to recover a battery. 2 years for a new battery which would have come charged might be OK, the problem is that the chargers which can recover batteries are nearly as expensive as the battery.

I'd risk the new battery after giving it a charge, with any charger, just make sure it gets a good run if it starts the car. If no charger put the new battery in the boot and replace it at the top of a big hill, once the car is manual.

Stick it in and jump it. Go for a long drive and fingers crossed it'll work the next morning.

It's dangerous charging completely dead batteries. If you start to get a rotten egg smell cease and desist because it's about to explode.
    Likely that battery is dead.

If it can be recovered you don't need a fancy charger.
The stupider the better or just another battery. Put it in parallel with a healthy battery and charge across the two.
So link both battery positives and negatives. Then put the charger negative lead on one battery negative and the charger positive on the other battery positive. Babysit it until charged in a chemical suit if you prefer. Separate the batteries after and remove the charger. Check the dud after 24hours and if it's resting below 12.2V recharge on it's own. Let it rest another 24hours if it's below 12.2V again it's scrap lead.
