    Hi All,

Two kids aged 7&2, any recommendations for any of the above, or anywhere else along the same lines, it's working out a lot of money for us booking through falcon, any cheaper if booked direct with hotel? Should we go all inclusive or not? Near beaches, other Restaurants etc , any advice, thoughts, recommendations appreciated !!

    Hi again ,

I posted above last year and got no replies. :-(

Anyway the same question is relevant again this year, never got a chance to go last year, might this year , fingers crossed, same story except we are all one year older....

    Anyone?

It all boils down to personal preference really.

For example, I book my flights and hotel separately myself and usually save against what I'd pay a tour operator such as Falcon. I always book self-catering as I like the freedom to be able to go out every night somewhere else and if I make a bad choice, there's no big deal. I'll be travelling with an almost 7 year-old (she's 7 the day after we return) and a 2 year old. I stayed once in a place that did AI (we were self-catering) and to be honest, I felt awful for them - plastic cups for beers and other drinks, the food didn't look great at all and from our observations seemed to be pretty repetitive and the entertainment was lame.

A friend of mine when he had kids around that age always went AI as it means his kids aren't pestering him all day for ice cream or soft drinks.

We usually go to Lanzarote and restaurants there are so cheap I think it's great to be able to go to different places every night and eat what you want rather than being limited to what the hotel wants to give you. Plus the whole eating from a buffet three times a day thing really doesn't appeal, however much you might save!

I've mentioned it on here before, but the place I stay in Lanzarote I book direct with the hotel itself - we usually get a bungalow there - but I always price it up on Falcon too for the craic. Last year for more than what we paid for flights and the hotel, Falcon would have put the four of us in a standard one bedroomed apartment on a midweek flight.

Hiya. Dont mean to butt in, but can you tell us about that hotel/bungalow you get in Lanzarote?

    Thanks

I get what you are saying. We stayed a couple of times AI (pre kids ) with club med and it was brilliant. I would be along the lines of your friend, food would be redalily available for young kids, I just am looking at these places for quality of food and things to do for the kids. It adds up going out to a restraunt every evening on hols and I find us wandering around to find 'the right place' to eat.

Stayed in Bonaire in Majorca and heartily recommend it for parents with small kids. Only reason why I haven't been back since is because I want a similar set up but two bedrooms. Any recommendations?

    That looks a good place.

We stayed in the sand beach resort in Costa teguise in Lanzarote, would recommend, as far as I remember some of the apartments had two bedrooms, were a duplex set up.
