    Link not working for me but ya it was mentioned on here a while back.
    There has been some talk about it in the States over the past year or so. Think the Taylormade CEO is spearheading it.

    Could they not make something of it?

    Probably a stupid question but a hazard,bunker etc?

    What would stop it, I'm presuming the chance it could progress ?

    I brought it up a few years ago, I was told it was trialed back in the 60's but made no difference, the good putters just made more putts.
    I thought it would reduce the importance on the putting game but I was told that it didn't.

    Many moons ago, the old Kilternan GC used large holes on temp greens in the winter. They had a rule that once you were on the green, you had a choice of picking up for two putts or playing out and trying for one with the larger hole. It worked because the temps were really bad, but I would not be a fan of that system as it gives bad putters an out.

    How about this idea ....... no holes at all :eek: have a pin that can light up when hit and you just hit the pin to finish out. :D
