T2 Dublin Departure Query

I have a 12.05pm flight on a Monday in February, I know you are advised to be at airport 2hrs in advance at least but due to unforeseen circumstances I'll be pushing it to be there within 1.5 hrs, to help matters however I've pre-booked parking in the Short Term next to the terminal so I won't have to be shuttled in from the Long term car park, so I'll be in the terminal within 10 mins of locking up the car................can anyone advise me roughly how far in advance of the schedule take off time the check-in gates close, again I'll have done an on-line check so that will speed things up?

Book fast track security for 5.95 and you'll be grand if it's short haul. If you're going further afield then you might be pushing it, and if it's the US you'll have nothing like enough time

Its only to Lyon in France, short-haul I would think? The €5.95 fast track security would be way to go, didn't think of that, many thanks

Yes that's short haul you should be fine

Boarding for short haul starts usually 25 minutes before departure. Gates remain open typically until 10 minutes before departure. Security at that time of day takes an absolute maximum 10 minutes. No gate is more than 15 minutes walk from security. Fast track security is great at peak times but a waste of money at 10.30am on a winter weekday. If you have checked in and arrive at the airport 1 hour before your flight you will not miss it.
