How long to clear your backlog?

I saw a link to this today and thought it would be fun. You enter your Steam ID (profile must be public) and it calculates (based on HowLongToBeat.com) how long it would take you to play your entire collection.

I'm not clear on whether it takes into account time you have already spent on games (not likely - that could get complicated) or if it's just how long to play all your games from start to finish. Obviously, depending on whether you're a completionist or not, this could be wildly inaccurate.

My results say it would take me:
756 continuous hours or 31 days, 12 hours, 45 minutes to play all my games.
In that time I could apparently run 166 marathons, but only read The Simarillion four times :P

    4947 continuous hours

    206 days,3 hours,34 minutes

Or I could watch the entirity of Doctor Who 12 times.

That's a crazy amount right there and most of my steam games haven't been played yet :/

    5002 continuous hours.

Given I'm on about 49% completion/played anyways, realistically it's only 2500 hours. That's totally doable, right?

    5049 continuous hours
    210 days,9 hours,16 minutes
of gameplay to complete your Steam library

Or I could watch all 6 Star Wars films 380 times

Or walk ~15,000 miles. Maybe I would be better off doing this rather than anything else

    1107 continuous hours
    46 days,3 hours,51 minutes

Or watch every Simpsons ep 4 times :/

Or Watch Sherlock entire series 82 times... hmmm. I could see myself doing that :pac:

Or I could sail from Europe to America with Columbus once :P

I'm still buying games at a faster rate than I'm finishing them so I'll never clear my backlog. I'd say I only finish 3 or 4 games a year.

I'm the same. Recently bought about 5 games (Steam Sales) but have since then just put about 100 hours into Payday 2 and not touched any of the others. This will prolly continue till I buy three more games and just play one of those :pac:

Not too bad, 56 days, 20 hours, 45 minutes. But that's only the games on Steam.

    IN THIS TIME YOU COULD...
Watch Star Wars: A New Hope 1,776 times

Though I buy games at a faster rate than I can play or complete them so my backlog will never clear.

I'm up to 667 hours, which is how long they think it would take me to climb Mt. Everest 17 times..........

    7903 hours.

I could watch every film available to stream on Amazon prime. Twice.

Most of them are humble Bundle stuff in my defence...

Ha, I actually get annoyed with multi-game keys because they bulk up my unplayed stats if there are games I don't really want. I'd much prefer to give them away.

Around 3000 hours, which isn't as bad as some of you. Won't ever get through it though. Looking at some of the games i've bought in the sales makes me sad. There was no way i was ever going to play some of them.

Glad i've toned down my sale spending in the last few.

Pointless me trying this because I already know the answer , Never ..... I can never complete my back catalogue because it contains Left4Dead 1 & 2 and they frighten me too much to play them .

1029 continuous hours or 42 days,21 hours,41 minutes of gameplay to complete your Steam library

Alternatively in the same amount of time as it would take to Beat the infamous game Desert Bus 1 times

    It would take you...
    94 continuous hours
    3 days,22 hours,49 minutes
of gameplay to complete your Steam library
    IN THIS TIME YOU COULD...
    Ben hur 1 Watch Ben-Hur 25 times

    94 hours! Do I win a prize?

    3320 continuous hours
    138 days,8 hours,45 minutes

    IN THIS TIME YOU COULD...
Watch the Twilight movies 327 times

But i didn't even see it once! :-(

Mind you, i rarely finish games. I play them up to the point where i have sucked all of the new and interesting content out of them. The moment i feel like i'm playing filler content or there are no new mechanics for me to see, i tend to drop it and play something else.

A more accurate estimation is 600 hours of actually interesting gameplay.

I thought mine was bad until I read this thread :D

    2291 continuous hours
95 days,11 hours,8 minutes of gameplay to complete your Steam library

Funnily enough it would probably take longer to download them
