    Hello,
I will be travelling from Dublin(Connolly) to Drogheda(MacBride). I am currently only using my student Leap Card for Dublin Bus. My current understanding is that I won't be paying more than 6,90€ a day while using my student leap card on train (according to studentleapcard.ie; "Your DART/Commuter Rail spend will be capped at a special student rate €6.90 per day or €27.00 per week")
If anyone knows how much I'll be paying/has any experience with using student travel card on DART/rail please let me know.
    Thanks!

Drogheda is outside the short hop zone (Balbriggan is where it ends) so I don't think your Leap card comes into it.

LEAP is only valid on Irish Rail services within the Short Hop Zone, namely the area bounded by: Balbriggan, Howth, Maynooth, M3 Parkway and Kilcoole.

Outside that you need to buy a student ticket.

So unfortunately, that means that you will need to buy a ticket for Dublin-Drogheda as LEAP is not valid.

A student weekly to Drogheda is €60
