Single parent tax credit

I am in receipt of the above in relation to my son. I work for the hse, where our "year" ends the end of march- in relation to holidays, and (I think) tax (I haven't worked for them for long).
I am now at the point of wanting to move in with my partner- if I do this now, I know I will no longer qualify for the tax credit, but will I have to pay back the tax credit for the year to date (I suppose I'm wondering should I hold off til the end of march to take the plunge!)? When my son was born, even though it was the end of the year, I received the tax credit for the entire year, which I didn't expect. I know it sounds. Very cold, but it's a good bit of money, which I don't really have!

The tax year runs from January to December.

The credit is due where: The Primary Claimant is the individual with whom the child resides for the whole or greater part of the year. The Primary Claimant must be either the child’s parent or the individual in whose care the child is and who maintains the child at his or her own expense for the whole or greater part of the year. This claimant is entitled to the credit in respect of a qualifying child.

Hi, applied for the single parent tax credit last week for 2014 they sent me back a P21 which only showed a single person tax credit and paye, does this mean I am not getting the single parent tax credit? Thank you for your help.
