Is it legal to drive around with custom headlight bulbs ? I got a pair of of little ones yesterday (not the main ones but I don't know what u called them parking lights?) well anyway lights create a neon blueish effect. It looks nice and all but I got concerned what if guards stops me and I get fined or something.

Nah mate you can't have blue lights on your car.

BTW, not being smart but you should really know your heads, dips and parks from each other...

If they are illegal, why auto parts retailers sell them ? I see a lot of Xeon light fitted cars driving around.

Probably because it's not illegal to sell them

Usually they have 'for off-road use only' typed in small writing on the box.

They must emit a white to yellow colour.
    blue,red,green etc are illegal.

The bulbs your on about op would be 5watt side lights(parking lights).

Fitting xenon dipped beam lamps are a nct fail now if car does not have auto level lights and a washer spray for lights.

I fitted Phillips 5watt lamps that have a blue tint that emits as a brighter white and are legal. They are not the off road full on blue type.
