Hi My Flavel washing machine - 4 years old - when I put on a wash water comes from the back of the machine and then trips the fuse in the switch board. Any idea what would be wrong ? To call a service guy cost 70 euro - do you think it would be worth it or should I get a new machine for 280 euro. Thks

Check that the waste pipe isn't blocked and that it is correctly inserted into the fixed waste pipe on the wall.

As above, sounds like the hose is just loose.

Thks for replies - I pulled out machine and put pipe into sink. The water is not coming from the waste pipe - it is coming from the bottom of the machine - when I look under machine - the water is coming from the center - drum area... Machine 4 years old - is it worth getting somebody out to look at it(€70 cost) or better off to get a new machine ?

Sounds like the pipe connecting it to the drain pump has come adrift, if that's all then probably worth fixing.

There will be various hoses attached to your drain/circulation pump at the bottom.
These are normally held on by spring clips.
See if you can identify if one has rattled loose.
