I went to a local mobile phone store to get 60gb a month broadband for my laptop. The assistant in the shop suggested i get a 15 gb sim for my phone but it will work in my modem and give me unlimited broadband. He said he shouldnt be telling me about this loophole but advised me to take this option instead.
Has anyone else used this method?i'm wondering now is it illegal to do it and i dont seem to have the same options about checking my data usage montly on the Their website. It seems maybe more trouble than its worth and i dont want to get a expensive bill unexpectantly.

If this is with Three, then yeah. The PAYG phone plan with all you can eat data can be used with PCs in a dongle or with a tethered phone. They dont enforce the 15GB fair usage policy.

It's the same thing using it in the phone as in the dongle. I've used this method loads of time, nothing illegal about it at all. Networks just prefer you go use a separate sine for a dongle.

It is with Three yes.So if i use the sim in a laptop modem i'm in no danger of going over my monthly allowance?
