My partner was on JSB after leaving work and is claiming for me and our daughter. He is currently on an ETB course, and they are paying him weekly into the bank.
I have an interview on Tuesday for a position at my college - if I get it, will his current payment be much reduced? I will be getting approx 450 a week (gross). I know he won't be able to claim for me as a dependant, but we're just trying to figure out if his own amount will be means tested while on the course?

If he was on jsb then he is ok as it isnt means tested but he will lose the payment for you and your daughter as your earnings will be over the limit for payment for adult and child dependant. While he is on the course he should notify the ETB of any change in circumstances.

We'll definitely be notifying them if I am lucky enough, my wage after tax will still be more than all of our combined payments so I wouldn't want to take more than what we're entitled to! Thanks for letting me know! :D
