I'm need a Garmin cadence sensor. I'm thinking of getting the new model.
    Has anybody here got one?
Does it look neat on the bike?
    Where is it cheapest?
I only need tyne cadence sensor, I don't want the speed sensor.

Cheapest I can see is swimcyclerun.

You could save a few euro here https://www.bike24.com/1.php but sure why not keep it in house :)

I'm using this (same thing just Giant written on it) with my edge 500. Works well and only 29 euro.

A lot less fussy and susceptible to moving about/ being out of range of the crank magnet than the older GSC10. Use one of these magnets to make it look even tidier.

You don't need a magnet for the new sensor it uses an accelerometer?

They look good op never liked the old sensor it's fiddly and moves out of place occasionally.

yeah i've the new cadence sensor on my good bike.. very neat, and the readings are consistent with my old GSC10 unit. Band it onto the crank arm and you're away. got mine on swimcyclerun for less than 40.

May be late but I got a bontrager speed cadence as an xmas present for my girlfriend who has a garmin device. However we bought a turbo trainer earlier in the week. Had I known we were gonna get this, I would have gotten her a combo sensor.

Anyway if you haven't ordered from swimruncycle yet perhaps I could tempt you with a barely used cadence sensor for 20e? Send me a pm if you are. :-)

Bought one too based on DC's in-depth review which was pretty positive:

Haven't hooked it up the the new bike yet, but I won't miss the magnet issues with the old one which were rare, but still annoying every time.

It's a nice piece of kit. The only small and negligible problem I have come across is when I cross over the Luas line at the junction close to Cheeverstown.

It "beeps" pause and then starts again.

Something to do with the Luas line and how it works etc.

Both new sensors are easy to install. Found cycle superstore as good as any, plus youbcsn drop it back if there are any probs.

does anyone know if the speed and cadence works on a forerunner 410 watch? the old one does but wouldn't mind upgrading.

The new Garmin Cadence sensor is sh1te...

I've got it on my track bike and use it with my garmin 500. It seems fine on the rollars but when riding in the banking its absolutely useless. It constantly drops to 0 (on a fixed gear so I'm not free wheeling). Discussing it tonight I'm not the only one with this issue.

Example from a points race tonight, purple is cadence
