How long is a piece of string?

Condition and service history are far more important. 120k miles with FSH and in good condition would be a better buy then 80k with patchy/no service history.

However, in general average mileage for a petrol would be about 10-12k miles, 15-20k for a diesel.

The average annual mileage of a privately owned petrol car in Ireland is about 17,000 kilometres (10,500 miles).
Diesel cars, if they have been used for business purposes, could have a higher average of about 24,000 kilometres (15,000 miles).

so i guess 2007 105,000 is way too high then - will have to keep looking - thanks for replying

If the car is otherwise well looked after and running well I wouldn't dismiss it. Using mileage as the main benchmark when buying a car isn't the best way.

Condition and history are what matter most. Then look for any recent maintenance like timing belts and tyres, if they have been done it's a bonus, if not a negative. Sake with remaining NCT and motor tax.

107k miles on an 8 year old car is about 13k miles per year which is not by any means excessive. Service history and condition are way more important. Those Corollas are fairly solid too.
