Anyone know where I would source a flywheel from an old square baler.

I want to use it as a front weight

Would ya not just ratchet a bag or two to the bonnet?

Any breakers yard that deals in farm machinery. Or any metal scrap yard is worth a look. Or get a set of proper weights from off any of the popular web sales sites.

    Fill front wheels with water.

    What is the tractor.
Are you trying to counter balance in order to pick up silage bales??

If it is an older tractor then you could get a frame welded up and bolted on that can take removable weights.
OH has a IH from the 60's, can't remember the model, but aeons ago his father got a local man to make up a frame around the front of the tractor that protected the radiator and allowed them to put weights on it so that they could move transport boxes of dung from the tie up byre.
As a child I have fond memories of myself and one of my brothers sitting on the bonnet of a Major while my Uncle drew cocks of hay into the yard. Different times in those days and thankfully they are in the past :)

Lead, melt it and pour it into 4'' steel pipes. What make is the tractor? Front wheel weights are another option.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.
