If someone was to find an internship themselves, as in ask a company to provide one would that be a problem? As in would the social accept it without any hassle?

The company would have to apply to be part of jobbridge.

The position would also have to be advertised I believe - however, this can be as short as one or tow days and closed once filled.

Thanks for the replies. Was hoping there wasn't going to be something silly like advertising first and then giving it.

My understanding is you can approach a company and ask them to creare a jobbridge position for you and they dont have to advertise.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Yes, it can be done. My husband approached a company. They created the position, advertised and gave it to him. Once he finished the internship after 6 months, they offered him full time employment(after advertising again).
If you are unemployed, it's a great way to help get back into a job and thankfully it worked out for us! Good luck!
