Vectoring not enabled yet...

Anecdotal evidence would seem to suggest the process of enabling vectoring is well underway. I am in a village Newtownforbes outside of Longford and it seems that my cab has not been enabled yet based on the stats and also feedback from Vodafone.

Is there anyway to find out the rollout process of vectoring. I asked Vodafone and was told they don't know? I don't really need a faster connection I'm in and around 40mb but since I'm paying to receive upto 100mb it would be nice to get a bit closer to that.

    Cheers.

Majority of cabs have been vectored, its only ones that need the next level of vectoring as they're "double" size that arent. Thats up to eircom Wholesale to sort out and apply. Id be surprised if you got a timeline from them.

Eircom future plans document from last November says it is due in April this year. Of course that could well slip, no guarantee.

Im on a standard cab though. The small one. Not directly to an exchange. There are two of these in the village.

I was speaking of Node Level Vectoring.

A small minority (seems to be less then 10%) of cabs haven't had vectoring enabled. This is because the cab has two DSLAMS in it and standard vectoring doesn't work across two DSLAMS, only one.

However NLA should fix this and bring vectoring to these minority of cabs.
