Hey. I have booked my test for the trailer licence. Just wondering is it a tough test and peoples experiences.
    Thanks.

It really all depends on what experience and / or training you have had using a trailer.
If you are no good at reversing correctly and it takes several trys to get the trailer into position you may be wasting your time.

I considered doing the B+E test but instead opted for the C+E test (truck and trailer) http://www.aclearsteerdriving.com/?page_id=46
I agree that you need to have lots of practice and know the test route well before taking the test. For the record (with the C+E test anyway) you are allowed to straighten up and reverse a second time if it goes astray at the first attempt during the test.

on paper you can correct once. in reality it depends on where you do the test. on some towns you will fail for one correction. in others correct as often as you want and not get penalized

    Have you experience of this?
Seems very harsh that a person would be failed for one correction?!

The lad who gave me lessons told me you will fail in killarney for correcting
. you can correct once in newcastle west and as often as you want in mallow.
And dont in under any circumstance hit the kerb with jeep or trailer. instant fail

It's possibly based on the location they use for the reverse. If it's an open road with traffic and other obstacles you can do a few shunts, at least you could when I did it in Finglas before they got the off road section (according to my instructor), but an off road site with plenty of space and no traffic you shouldn't need to shunt.

    Ah, jeep+trailer.
I was referring to C+E test. I took mine in Athlone using the truck+trailer in this link (Athlone tester allows corrections when reversing) -
