    Hi,
We are getting married in June this year and we are providing drinks for the drinks reception.
Has anyone spotted any good deals on prosecco? We've been advised to wait until after Valentines Day because the price should go down then? Anyone any previous experience of bulk buying prosecco?
    Thanks in advance!

Havent had the experience in buying it yet, waiting for the deals like you. But I have been keeping track of prices and ones that are nice. I was thinking of just approaching either supervalue or Aldi and asking them straight out. Right if we buy this many bottles what is the best price you will give.

Must say the Aldi champers the one for €19.99 is yummie. It would be fine to buy one or two bottles at this price but for around 60 it would be way too much, so I was thinking of just asking management. They may even let you know when the sale is on so you can just pre-order. Same with supervalue

I think it is the Griffin prosecco that is very nice for €10.

let me know how you get on would be quite interested to hear any tips

We bought the wine in O'Briens on loyalty card. There was a points offer on it and we will use those points to buy bubbles.

If you can go up North to Asda or evening Aldi.

They some times do buy 6 get 25% off.

Sainsburys Prosecco is very nice Usually its £7.50 so you could get it for a 5er if you wait for a 25% off event.

We bought ours in supervalu. The prosecco was on sale. They also had a buy six get €10 off. And if you ordered online you got €15 off your order. I did an order for collection and my fiancee did the same and this bought the price per bottle down hugely. Supervalu also had a €10 off €50 shop so we used one of these too.

If the supermarkets keep having money off vouchers it could be worth your while to try and find a prosecco you like in Tesco as they will honour their competitors vouchers and if you combine this with a sale you could get a great deal.

Only problem is trying not to drink it before the big day.

I like the trying not to drink it, we are going to store ours in the attic or as far away as possible so we wont be tempted.

We only had it a week and we opened a bottle. Sent it to my parents house after that!

I'd second the previous advice to also look up North. As well as being able to often get Cava (Freixnet or Codorniu) for around £5 you can also often get Champagne (Heidsieck, Jacquart or Nicholas Feuillante - all well known names) for around £15.
    Good luck and happy tastings!!

Tesco Cava, £5 per bottle . Very nice it is too, has gotten good reviews!

I have just noticed Dunnes have a 25% offer on at the moment. Not sure how long it's going for but we are going to have a look tomorrow.

Let us know. We are getting to the drinks now, and must say it is so frustrating seeing the 25% off sales in Dunnes and Tesco' s but they don't have enough of the stock...

I wonder is that tactical? Use the deal as a loss leader to bring people in the door but keep the stocks down.

I don't know, what to think. We took a look online and it would not let you buy over a certain amount of it. And then I was thinking feck it we would call to Dunnes if that's the road we went down and just ask straight out do ye have that many bottles..

The Tesco in Mahon seemed to have a better selection of wines than the Douglas one, but they didn't have many on the shelfs yesterday...
