Saorview issues????

    Anyone else having any sound issues on Saorview. The following channels on my tv have no sound; TV3, TG4, 3E,UTVI, Plus the audio is out of sync on RTE2.

    How are you viewing the channels, i.e via a set top box please name or via a tv???

    I see there are sound lag problems using the Triax Model TR212 Saorview box and have emailed Triax about it and per usual have received no reply from their terrible customer service

    Its on a Samsung tv no box or anything, its a strange one,

    Edit; just found out the 2nd tv upstairs is giving the same problems, again thats a Samsung tv with a built in tuner so im guessing there is a problem on the Saorview end. I say that as the tv upstairs is on its own separate aerial in the attic.

    I have two Samsung TVs on Saorview and I'm not experiencing any problems at all.

    Try retuning and see if that solves the problem.

    They had a planned maintenance 2 days ago on Mount Leinster (nearest transmitter) maybe that has something to do with it. I wasnt around the house the last two days so i didnt notice the problem until this evening.

    Just done a re tune the problem is still there. I think its time i got off my ass and had a proper look :D

    Update to this; It turns out the tv upstairs is fine, the missus told me it wasnt working either so i went and had a look and all is good. (she must be going nuts) I checked the sound settings on the tv downstairs and the audio language was set to AD Premix on the affected channels. I reset the sound and all is good in the world. I can only think my 17month old daughter somehow managed to change the settings via remote button bashing :) Thanks for all the replies.

    I was wondering if anyone has a fix for this problem yet on the Triax TR212?

    I am having the same problem - if I leave the box on the same channel, after about 1 hour the sound and picture go out of sync. I move up a channel and come back and everything is OK.

    I have already emailed and rang them about this, and pointed them to this thread. I am an installer and will not be sent to my supplier or any party I have informed them....once again they refuse to take any notice...triax has the worse customer service I have ever dealt with in my life.

    I have one of these boxes and have the same problem.Triax tr 212s saorview box. Sound and picture go out of synch. If I change channel and go back again it sort's the problem. Very annoying. Also if you try to record anything using the EPG a message "Not valid enter recorder" appears on the screen. The recording does not work at all. I emailed Triax about this before Christmas and am still waiting for a reply.Manual recordings work fine. I have a Triax tr 112 saorview box as well.This box works fine all the time.

    As a follow up ---- no reply from Triax UK to my query - not even a "thank you for your query" -- .Nice.

    Edit - just phoned them and left a message on their technical helpline so await their reply.
    And to think I once lived 2 minutes from where they are in the Rhondda Valley --- where the sun used to set at 3 o'clock in the afternoon !!
    I could have knocked on the door...but there again no RTE reception would have been possible there.
