Some advice needed regarding switching a bath for a shower

    Hi All,

I live in a little one bed apartment with a bath. My water tank never really filled the bath completely (I think a heating element may be gone) and I am considering removing it for a large shower.

I have never done anything this big of a project before and I really want advice from someone in the know. Do I decide on my shower fittings first? Who do I contact? Do I need a tiler and a plumber separately? How hard is it to get tiles the same? How do I know the person I've picked will stand by their work for the next 2/3 years? Should I just go to B&Q and have them do it for me?

I'm so lost and I don't want to make a very costly mistake.

    Thanks!
