Hey guys, I was gonna run up to HMV to get a 3ds game, seeing how Gamestop is more expensive. But I didn't know if they sold 3ds games or not. Does anyone know if Hmv sells 3ds games? I was gonna check either Dundrum or on Grafton St, but I wanted to make sure they do before I go to either.

They sell them but typically have a small enough selection

Any idea if they'd be more inclined to selling new releases or just random?

It's completely random. None of them carry the same stock and I haven't seen anything newer than Smash Bros. Smyths carry a decent selection and the prices are better than gamestop.

Didn't see anything Nintendo related other than Skylanders in HMV Castlebar. I second what has been said about Smyths. Good selection and prices, almost always cheaper than Gamestop.

Alright cool, thanks very much for the help guys, I'll probably end up getting it in Smyths, seeing how Gamestop are just stupid when it comes to prices :P

It's probably worth mentioning what game you're looking for, people here might be able to point you to the cheapest option.

Argos has been quite good lately on the 3DS front, cheaper than gameslop HMV should be avoided on the nintendo games though what they do have in stock is crap or overpriced, €50 each for OR and AS being the prime example.

Yeah I was planning on getting Pokemon Omega Ruby, it's like 55 in Gamestop, wasn't gonna spend that much on it.

I thought that was bad until I saw them for €54.99 in Gamestop. Madness!

Argos so it's €42.99 there. If you are doing the winter games freebie you have until Sunday evening to do it.
