    Current specs:

    ASRock Z68 Extreme4 (B3), Socket 1155, ATX
    Intel Core i5-2500K, LGA1155
Be quiet! Dark Rock Advanced C1 CPU Cooler
    8GB-Kit (2 x 4GB) G.Skill RipJaws-X PC3-12800U CL9
OCZ Agility 4 128GB (OS drive)
    Palit GTX 560Ti 1GB PCI-E graphics card
    Creative X-Fi XtremeGamer
    Corsair TX750 750W PSU

Suddenly got coloured squares/white lines overlaying the screen. Rebooted a few times, and left to cool, still have this problem. Switched to the onboard graphics chip and things are fine. Does this indicate the graphics card is irreparably damaged?

    Most likely yes, bad vram.

    The good news is that a card that's about on-par is only about 120 - GTX750Ti. Or a significant upgrade, about 180 - R9 280.
