    Hi.

Looking to do a cheap upgrade of my PC.
Mainly to play the new Metal Gear that's coming out for PC which will probably have same spec requirements as this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/311340/

I have GTX 560 (which I will be looking to upgrade from)
I have 560W power supply and 1TB HDD.
After some searching I thought motherboard, processor and RAM should be sufficient enough for an upgrade.
I am thinking of SSD but it's out of my budget at the moment.
Trying to keep it in 300e range.

What do you guys think of this combo:

    SRock 990FX Extreme3 AM3+ AMD 990FX DDR3 ATX

    AMD FX8-8320 Black Edition Vishera 8 Core AM3+ 3.5GHz 16MB 125W

    Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) Ballistix Sport DDR3 1600MHz CL9 1.5v 240pin

I am a total noob when it comes to picking RAM, and always just went for known brands. Also I have never went for AMD processors and always stuck to intel, currently running C2Q Q6600.

I want to have 4 dimm slots in my mobo, so I can slab more ram on it as times go by.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Any plans any over clocking?

Could go for an i5 4460 , h81 motherboard and 8gb stick of ram instead of the 2*4. Would come in under 300. Easily upgradeable to 16gb of ram.

No point going AMD to be honest, far better off with an i5 for a new build.

If your budget is 300, I would suggest maybe look at selling the entire machine as it is - double your budget to 600. The GTX560 is fairly bottom rung at this stage for new releases. 600 would net you something like an i5-4460, 8Gb Ram, R9 280 graphics card based system.

Buying from Hardwareversand.de or Amazon, the following spec will cost about 600.

    i5-4460
    H81 Motherboard
    R9 280
    Corsair Spec 01 Case
    Corsair 430W PSU
    1TB Hard Drive
    8GB Ram

You can get windows from Reddit or similar for €15 if required. I just had a quick look - obviously you can get a cheaper case, get an i3 instead of an i5 and fit in an SSD, or drop the graphics card down to a 750Ti if you want to keep the i5, so on, and so forth...

    some good advice here.

Reason I looked into AMD was because that mobo for that price is better than what I could find for i5 in that range.
But in general i5+H81 mobo would do better than AMD 8320+ASRock 990FX?

    scrap my post :D

Just did some more research and i5 kills that and the processor above it in gaming.
That processor does better when doing video editing,Photoshop etc.
Heaviest program I use is dremweaver and eclipse which are not processor hungry.

just a question on power supply.
Is 430W going to cut it? Or better to stay on the safe side and go up to 600.

I'd up it to a vs series 550w. There pretty cheap but 430 would still be okay.
