Those chickens have about 6 months before they stop laying and die. They are designed to produce as much eggs as possible, so they have short life spans. Chickens are actually excellent pets. But the last thing you need is them death within a few months of having them

they live to be four to five years old, they are bred to lay, their first year is fantastic, then they slow down a little year by year, if one gets a cock from bantham x with an old breed, then cross it back to the ones for sale one will have eggs daily for a long time

What sort of a yolk would these be? Sounds a bit like six of one and half a dozen of the other, you'd have to be cracked to buy one.

Ad quote "These hens have been rescued from a poultry producer that were due to be killed shortly"
Why is the poultry producer going to be killed :D

Like already said these hens will be expensive pets as the best of their laying years are behind them, you can get point of lay pullets for €9 each and they will lay for 4-5 years way better value.
