30 gram Eley Grand Prix in number 7 size shot (32 gram number 6 for pheasant). The gun is choked modified and improved modified, I find these shells pattern particularly well.

Exact same here lad, is that through number 4 choke? Excellent combination I find for woodcock.

To be honest if you shooting game every week, and unless your only going after Woodcock, then listen to all the advice your getting, when I go out shooting, I am shooting Pheasant, and use 6's if a Woodcock gets up he gets what I have in the barrell a 6 is what he gets, so use what you have at the time. if your out shooting and your after Woodcock and a Pheasant rises what will you do. best of hunting luck and enjoy.

I use remmington 10s in the right barrel when I can get them and 8s or 9s in the left or else 9s and an 8 find they do the biz the whole time all you really need is a grain or two to knock woodcock

I use Rem 32g 8, they seem to work well for me, gun is choked modified and improved modified aswell,
As said above it doesn't take much grain to knock them

I have a 30" Sporter and I have starting using 1/4 and 3/4 choke and use Remington cartridges,I use 34g 9's and 34g 7's for woodcock anything any bigger then 7's I feel will only damage the bird but only use the 7's as a 2nd shot. the 9's give a good spread if ur firing close to cover or with in 20-25 yrds or that way.
