A friend showed me his payslip this week to check it out for him (student with first ever part time job). Its dated 2 Jan 2015 but also has week 52. Is this even possible? never come across it before. It comes from a big enough company, properly printed payslips from software package. I know the package I work with wouldn't permit it.

52 weeks doesn't divide exactly into 365 days, so a week straddles 2 years. It's quite normal
