    Morning,

Looking for thoughts on whats going on!! I have a 05 Audi A4 and in the past couple of weeks the Hazard Button on the centre console is flickering on and off while driving...obviously something wrong with the electrics but has anyone come across it before? Serious Issue?

I don't know if this is related but when I bought the car a year ago, the electric windows werent working, dealer fixed the windows and said it was an electrical issue...the windows are working perfectly but could it have been related?

    Cheers.

Is there a clicking noise as well?

If it's just the light flickering I'd chance changing the hazard switch. If there's a clicking noise it's possibly the indicator stalk.

Had similar issue on VW Golf turned out to be the indicator relay switch, basically the whole hazard light switch needed to be removed from the dash and another fitted, was a 5 minute DIY job, not sure if the Audi would use something different. Your indicators are probably not working properly either if you test them probably only flashing sometimes.

This is a well known issue, the relay switch is integrated into the hazard switch, it's basically about the same size as a cigarette box ro maybe a bit smaller, part costs around 20 quid, very easy to replace, just pull out the old one gently, plug out the connector block, plug it into the new one, push the switch back into the dash console carefully, sorted.

Last time I got this part I had to go to the main stealer but it was only 20 something quid... I'm sure if you root around on the web you can get it for a lot less...
