Am I making the right decision?

I finished college last May and since then i've felt so lost about what I wanted to do. During college i had a job that I liked, it wasn't great money but it was fine while I was studying. I left that job at the end of college as I wanted to give something else a try.
Now i'm in a job since September that I don't particularly enjoy, I don't hate it but it can be very stressful at times and i can't see my future here.
I have the chance to return to my first job now although it would be a promotion on what I was doing and i'm considering taking it.
I'm so unsure of what to do, I have suffered from anxiety in the past and feel that i could be overthinking this. I'm stressed out at the minute deciding what to do. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I think youve answered your own question, why stay in a post that stresses you, adds to your anxiety and makes you unhappy?
Money isnt everything, but your health is imo.
Go back to your old employer, take the post offered, be happy and healthy.

Of course you're making the right decision. Take the job at the old place and be the best at it you can, enjoy your days there and enjoy your life outside of work without dreading the day after.

Thank you both for your reply, my friends have told me I'm just taking the easy way out by going back to my old job, so thats really where my doubt has come from. But yeah i think you are both right. I'm going to accept the job.

Hi Sarah, I think your friends might be looking at it from an 'avoidance' point of view. If you are changing jobs solely on 'anxiety and feelings about this anxiety' then you have to be careful you're not using avoidance. Whenever you start a new job, you can expect anxiety, uncertainty and a little bit of stress. This usually diminishes within a few months. Don't run away from 'feelings' or try to avoid them. However if you genuinely hate the actual work you're doing then I don't see any reason to stick with it. Only you know how you actually feel and why you're considering leaving.
