Bushings problems

    I have a noise that sound like bushings problems. Is that dangerous? I will have nct soon, can it wait? 01 fiesta 1.25

    Look, if you can hear it knocking then there is 'obvious' wear/movement, so get it checked/source the 'exact' bushing, and get it replaced. You will fail NCT otherwise.
    A bushing is part of your steering linkage, a worn bushing(well worn)can cause unusual up and down movement of your steering and suspension movement, over time this can cause fatigue in the steel moulding of your control arms which the bushings are connected to! so it's best to 'listen to your car' for such sounds as knocking and slapping! and get them renewed ASAP.
    The bushing/ball joint itself may not cause catastrophic scenarios as they are locked in place with nut and bolt.....

    I'd say the worst bushing to go would be the engine mounting. It can be quite catastrophic if it fails. I would head to my local mechanic pronto'ish to get him to have a gander at it.
