You would need to give as much information as possible for anyone to provide worthwhile assistance.

What have you tried already? What is the tablet, what is the signal strength, can you see the networks, are you prompted for a password, is the authentication type WPA2, is there an authentication error etc.

The wireless antenna on the Lumia devices are great and as you've got mobile devices I don't suspect that range or strength of signal is an issue.

Tablet says check dns and reset router phone just says network problems
Tried reconnecting by re entering the password

Connected wont neccesarily mean authenticated, are you using WPS to authenticate or entering a password?

It is most likely an authentication issue but rule out DNS by entering an IP address into your browser on the tablet or phone. Here is an IP you can enter which under normal circumstances gives a BBC branded error page 212.58.244.67

If you see the page your connection is fine and there is a DNS issue.

Assuuming you get no BBC page, choose to 'forget' the network altogether and then reset it up from scratch, I don't have O2 broadband but you may be able to create a fresh SSID and try with that.

Also just for clarification purposes, I assume it never connects. As in, It isn't a problem that you are intermittently disconnected, this would indicative of a signal/noise problem which you should rule out for those that might offer you help.

It difficult to troubleshoot tablets and phones as the toolset is not available so it's a process of elimination.

Go into the WiFi connection menu on each device and click and hold on your o2 WiFi connection and options such as cancel, disconnect, and forget network should appear. Click to forget network and then you can reconnect using either wps or by putting in the WiFi password for your broadband modem. Make sure you put the password in correctly or it will not connect or authenticate properly.

    Hi Sasta

If you have a computer type the following . . .

    netsh wlan show networks mode=bssid

This is show you all the access points in your vicinity including your O2 connection. If there are many operating on the same channel it can cause dropouts and just as a precaution you might want to switch to a channel others are not using. If you're on 2.4Ghz then your options are 1, 6 and 11. However unlikely, if you are on 5.0Ghz then you should switch to 2.4Ghz.

But after all that I still think it sounds like authentication. Lock the Wifi config on your O2 device to operate on 802.11g rather than auto (802.11b/g/n). I don't have O2 broadband so you'll probably have to have a poke around to find this.
