GPU and General Upgrading Advice

Hey boards, long time no see

Been a few years since I put together my PC with advice from here (rig: imgur.com/QkiGvYt.jpg, current gpu is a 5770, 450w psu) and now that I'm looking to upgrade my GPU I thought I'd see what ye had to say.

I've been eyeing a r9 280 pixmania.ie/graphics-card/sapphire-technology-r9-280-oc-with-boost-3-gb-gddr5-pci-express-graphics-card/22080909-a.html and this ones in my price range and any input would be appreciated. (side note logicalincrements.com is a great site)

I had 2 concerns with this; size and power required while a quick measurement suggests I'll have even a few cm's to spare I'm not sure if my PSU (450w) will be alright with that new card so advice is welcome.

I plan on switching to an Intel CPU some time this year, so I'll probably wait till I have enough money put aside for buying a new mobo, psu, cpu and maybe a case all together.
