Hi, I have a faulty indicator relay and need to replace it (vlovo v40, same as volvo s40).

It is in a very awkward place above the accelerator among other fuses. I dont want to force it in case I damage other parts or the input socket. At the minute I am using a vice grips loosely tightened and am trying to wriggle it free, but Im not having much luck. Any insights greatly appreciated.

Just wondering if anyone knows if forcing this relay while removing it will damage anything nearby? Here is a photo of the relay.. it is a white cube housed in a black holder right behind the red bonnet lever just above the accelerator.
