Educational gap in CV

I'm updating my cv for the first time in over 10 years and I'm wondering how to explain a gap in my post primary education. I went straight to college after LC but dropped out of my 4 year course after 2 years. I changed to a different course which I completed. Should I put in the two years that I did and mark it as an unfinished degree or leave it out?

Also how does one mention volunteer work? I've been doing some for the past 5 years that is relevant to the industry I am working in but unsure where to place it.

Put in the course as uncompleted, it was so long ago, and you went onto complete a degree, ao it wont matter, but an unexplained gap will. After employment section, put in a section 'Unpaid Work' and include your volunteering.

    Yes leave it in.

As long you can show validation for your change in course its looks good imo.

You realized after two years this was not for you and that you are very happy on hindsight you made the change........etc

    Make it into a positive.

You don't need to include the gap at all, just put in the date of your graduation of the course you finished - worst case, they think you're 2 years younger than you are. Unless your industry specifically requires LC results on your CV, then there's no need to include them at this stage.
