Hi, I was hoping some one could help me. Im looking to book a flight to london from Cork. On the aer lingus site the only option is "london all airports". What does this mean? Is it that you dont know what airport you fly into and if so how does it work coming home?

Its probably a stupid question I know!

    Thanks

Means any airport in London that aer lingus flys into

So would be London Heathrow, Gatwick or Southend

Just click on All Airports and it'll throw up all the available options for you whether that be Heathrow, Gatwick or whatever...
You just book whichever one suits you then for inbound and outbound.

Then that's because Aer Lingus do not operate flight to the other airports, on your selected dates. Not surprised about Southend, as I know that Aer Lingus don't operate flights there year around. Surprised to hear that about Gatwick though, as its a very major airport. I'd double check that.

That's because the only London airport they fly from Cork is Heathrow

In the drop-down for your destination, you'll see LHR, LGW & Southend listed individually & available for selection (though is SEN served by EI / Stobart any longer?)

If you're looking at departing from DUB, then Ryanair, Flybe & Cityjet come into play - have seen some great o/w fares into LCY of late.

Do tou mind me asking whats LCY?

    LCY is London City Airport.

It's a cracking little airport very near the heart of the city. You can access the rest of the city centre and the major tourist hot spots, far quicker & easier from London City, than you can the airports that are on the outskirts of the city, or out in the suburbs. It is usually more expensive to fly into it, and there aren't usually as many flight to/from it, as there are from the other main London airports.

Ooh thanks for that ProudDub. Will have a look at LYC (now I know what it is lol)

Brilliant place to fly in to. You'll be off the plane with bags and in a taxi in minutes!!

No need for a taxi. The DLR train runs every 5-10 minutes. It will connect the OP with the London Underground in a matter of minutes.
