Hi. I'm trying to get a species ready tv working. I thought it was a case of connect tv to aerial in the attic with black cable and then select auto search to install.

I never can get the full list of channels there is always some missing.

Does it matter what direction the aerial is pointing or what size the aerial is etc.

If it's a directional aerial, it has to be pointed at whatever transmitter gives the best signal at your location, & it needs to be the right kind (design frequency range, gain) to suit the signal from this transmitter.

    Did you install it yourself?

Missing channels probably means an inadequate Saorview signal getting to the TV, could be the wrong aerial for your local transmitter or insufficient signal where you locate the aerial or aerial pointing/polarised incorrectly or local interferance or bad connections/cabling etc. etc.

The transmission network always recommend mounting the correct aerial externally pointing in the direction of the transmitter recommended for your location.
