Interesting reading in the IT from before Christmas.

    http://www.irishtimes.com/business/media-and-marketing/sunday-independent-editor-anne-harris-departs-after-final-edition-1.2045577

Telling of the departure of Anne Harris from the helm of the Sunday Indo. In the article:

"Ms Harris leaves The Sunday Independent with its circulation rising in recent months year-on-year and the paper’s market share on a Sunday at a record high of over 30 per cent. The paper’s market share was just under 26 per cent when she took over as editor ....The marketing department of Independent News & Media presented Ms Harris with a painting of “30%” to mark this"

Jasus! Maybe a trip back to the leaving cert as, according to my data - they have never reached a 30% of the Sunday market in Circulation!

Bad enough for the Marketing Dep to be shining up sh1t' - but for the IT not to check it as well!

Truth and facts have been abandoned long ago by the Sindo in favour of made-up garbage about people in show business and Z-list 'celebrities'.

With the O'Brien mob now in control, Harris was never going to get her contract extended.
