    Hi all,

Long time iOS user looking to switch to Android. I don't have an upgrade with work so I'll have to go sim free in order to do so.

    Best options?

    1. OnePlus One?
    2. Nexus 6?
    3. Xperia Z Ultra?

Looking to get a phone with a colossal screen. The Nexus 6 looks great but the price tag doesn't and I've read a lot of reviews that say to get the OPO instead.

Xperia Z Ultra? Gigantic screen but is it too old at this stage? It can be picked up for just over £200, OPO isn't much more but the N6 is roughly £499 (bit of a difference).

    I'm thinking Amazon.

Why not the Nexus 5? Not colossal in terms of screen real estate but a solid phone.
The HTC One M8 is also very nice. Of course the Note (4? now) is the phablet granddaddy.

If you are coming from iOS I would urge you to consider going for a Google Play Edition device.
OS updates are much more like what you had with Apple - you get them when they're hot. A lot of Android phones wait months for an update, if ever. Of course you can just put whatever ROM tickles your fancy.

Zenfone 6? Can be gotten from Amazon.de/Asus uk store for around 300, or from china for about 90 euro less.

    Not amazon for the oneplus.
You can pick up an invite on the oneplus invite thread.
No need for faster shipping. Ive had one since early summer and cant fault it ( except the odd app that might not install, but an email off to the developer soon fixes it )
Camera is class- saving as raw files is such a godsend for me
Battery lasts well over a day
64gb is more than enough for me. The 3gb is great too.
If you know someone who has one it might be good to get a hand on it.
The only phone i would change it for is the droid turbo. But not at the money they are looking for it
