Best way to use Naked 2?

    Hi beauty-ful people!

My sister bought me the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay. The colours suit me but I'd love some guidance as to the best way to use the different shades.

Mainly for daytime, then a special daytime look, and a nighttime look.

I'm at home with the kids so I'm normally casually dressed.

Can you give me any tips or links to tutorials? I'm 35 so I think the teenage ones aren't really going to be realistic for me.

Thanks but that's why I'm looking for recommendations. There are too many to go through.

    What ones do you like?

Even if I was to recommend one for you there's a slim chance it would suit you... If you know your eye shape (hooded, partially hooded, inset) search that with 'naked 2 tutorial on YouTube...

I love the Naked 2 palette. Something like this is a pretty versatile look. I would do something similar to this for a daytime look and it can easily be modified for night time. You can tweak it to suit yourself depending on eye shape etc.

I am not sure if Pixiwoo do tutorials using naked 2 specifically, but they do some fab videos and you can apply the techniques using different colours. I would say go on to their You Tube channel and have a look at a few. It might give you ideas for looks to try with Naked 2 as opposed to Naked 2 looks you might not like/may not suit you. As far as I know, both Sam and Nic Chapman are in their 30's, most of their looks are very wearable.

I love the silvery shade (pistol I think?) on it's own all over the lid, looks great and super easy for a quick day look, just add loads of mascara and eyeliner and you're set. I have blue eyes and think it sets them off great.

I need to get the Naked 2, I had a fake copy of it and passed it to my sister but loved the colours and want the real thing now.

Sorry to high jack this thread but I've had my palette for a while and there's a few eyeshadows that I use all the time.
Can individual shadows be bought that fit into the palette?
I'd imagine they will probably work out more expensive than the palette but I'd hate to have to buy another palette just for these colours.

As far as I know their individual colours come in round pans, almost like Mac, and they do an empty palette that holds 4 of these. They have them on the UD website anyway, not sure about in Debenhams. I want to get one soon and put all my faves in it too. It will work out more expensive but better for travel etc x

I'm 99% sure you can't build back into the Naked palettes themselves but they have individual round eyeshadows that pop out of their individual packaging and pop into square quads. Debenhams on Henry Street have a big Urban Decay counter, they would probably have the buildable palettes, or online obviously.

You can't buy refills for any of the Naked palettes, unfortunately.

On the round individual shadows - ELF cosmetics sell empty palettes for £1.50 each with a mirror in the lid. I have successfully depotted round MAC shadows into them so if UD is the same size they will fit too. I've also seen people depot the Naked palettes into these smaller empty palettes so they travel better.

Just read after a google search that they're pretty much the size of a MAC shadow and fit into the MAC palette and also the ELF ones. I must do an ELF order, love their stuff and can save on these palettes too then. Will be so handy for holidays just to bring a small palette with say 4 favourites in it.

I've seen people pop out the plastic insert on the ELF palette so you can fit in 5 round shadows or several square ones ;)

If you're depotting MAC eyeshadows they will still accept the empties in exchange for a free lipstick.

Don't MAC do the individual eyeshadows ready to be inserted into palettes cheaper? May work out cheaper than buying the individual 'proper' ones that way even without the free lippie, also daves the hassle of depotting xx

They possibly do. I'm not sure as I've never bought them that way. I had lots of old shadows that I didn't use much as they were buried in drawers so I depotted them so I can properly access them now. I read on here a long time ago people were worried MAC wouldn't give the free lipstick if the metal pan was missing from the packaging so was just confirming they will accept them :)

Yes the shadows for the pro palette are €9 each (or there abouts) and the individually packaged/regular ones are €16.
