Anyone with a Laguna mk2 might be able to help me out here with two minor issues:

    * The screen on my heater is busted so I just want to know how many touches of the "up" button do I need to get the heater to (A) blow air directly out into the cabin (direct arrow out) and (B) blow air up onto the window (direct arrow up).

They're the only two settings I need. I think they're beside each other in the sequence and I think its around about 5 presses. I was pressing them all day today yet for the life of me I couldn't find the one for the windscreen.

    * The drivers door is jamming. It stays "locked" around 50% of the time I go to get into the car meaning I have to open the back door and open it from inside. Any idea what might be causing this?

    Cheers fellas :)

Is it always closing properly otherwise? My back door sometimes doesn't quite close flush and then if you lock it can sometimes not lock. Not quite the same issue but just in case your central locking is acting up cause of the catch on the drivers door.

Can't help with the heater issue I'm afraid as I've only heater + air con dials, not full digital climate control.

Just to add, in case digital control is the same sequence, the windscreen only is the last position on the dial, like 5 th position. Think dash only into cabin is the position before that alright.

Thanks Zoney. I thought the door not unlocking might be due to dampness or something because of the time of year. You could be onto something there though. It seems to close tight but maybe its not quite making the connection. I'll give that a look.

You're much better off with the simple dials for the heater. At least they won't break unless they fall off! The more electrics you have the more chance there is of something going wrong.

I'll just have to get used to working it without the screen. Its not worth fixing because the car is nearly 12 years old at this stage.

Easiest way of doing it is by turning on and off the windscreen heaters.

This resets the blower to blowing in your face.

Press the arrow button down once to turn the blower to windscreen direction.

If it was me I'd be going to a breakers yard to get a replacement. I got a replacement heater motor there a few weeks back for €15.

Lads, the Laguna has recently decided it wants to be started a different way. I used to slip the key card in and the dash would light up and then press the button to start her up. Now when I put the card in, the dash doesn't light up. I have to press the button once for the dash to come on and then press and hold it to start.

I'm not that surprised with an electrical gremlin like this on a Renault. A Laguna owner on here not that long ago said his changed its mind on start-ups too. He used to just have to have her in neutral and press the button but then it became that he had to put his foot on the clutch to get her going.

Anyone else had anything like this?
