Sqeaky/creaky watch

    Hey all :)

I got a lovely new watch for Christmas, it has a bracelet. As I have a very small wrist I had to get it resized in the shop, and it fits ok, could do with another link being taken out but it's ok.

However, it squeaks and creaks, yesterday I was looking for something and moving my hand while sitting on the sofa and I thought I had broken a spring on the sofa with the noise.

I've no idea what is causing this noise, even with the watch off all I have to do is hold it in my hand and move it and it squeaks.

It might sound a mad complaint but it's severely annoying.

Anyone come across this? Could it be that when they took off the extra links that they didn't tighten it enough? And if the shop can't resolve it am I being unreasonable in not wanting to keep it?

What make is it? I had a Seiko 5 (The Fifty Fathoms version) and ended up dismantling the whole bracelet and applying loads of silicon-based lubricant before re-assembling. Had to buy one of these to do the job.

When I say had to buy I mean the whole exercise was a bit of an excuse to acquire some tools.

It's a Bulova, took it back to the shop today and they told me it was because it was new and not broken in, and no fault was present

Three days of wearing it hasn't made any difference, so most likely I'll exchange it, the noise is doing my head in.
