Aldi have reduced the prices of some of their fresh Turkeys. The best value one is the one I got the Butter Basted Medium (6kg) Turkey for €15 from €24 down €9. Other Turkeys are down €7 and €8. It only applies to some of the fresh Turkeys and there was no reduction on the boned and rolled or Crowns.

There is nothing else on festive sell off unlike last year when a lot of stuff was half price on Christmas Eve.

Was very disapointed myself this morning, as had expected the festive sell off too. However waiting to get the Turkey did pay off as got a large turkey which was priced at €18.99 on pack, scanned at 12.99 with 30% off that so was 9.09 and a 2.5 kg horseshoe ham (use by: 15/1/15) for about 9 euro which isn't bad. All the turkeys ( including the boned and rolled) were reduced by 30% in the store I went to. Some mince, beef etc was reduced by 30% also. 30% off other random selected items (salmon, deserts, etc) and a few things like yule log, (yummy) cranberry nougat, puddings, cakes at 50% off in middle section.

Well in fairness most of the food you list could be sold off around NYE anyway. Its not like they need to rid of it ASAP

Nerve wracking stuff though. Last year I decided to wait until Christmas Eve to get a fresh turkey and while it might be a good idea if you live in Dublin, it's not if you live in a rural town. I had to drive to three local towns before I got one and then it was smaller than we wanted
Probably spent as much on petrol and she who must be obeyed was not pleased.

Went into Aldi earlier, just as we came, they reduced some (maybe all?) fresh turkeys to 5 euro. 4.3kg turkey down from 40 euro..
