Stocktons wing

    Thinking of buying my dad (70) tickets to the reformed stocktons wing. Thing is I don't really remember much about them. Would they be trad or more rocky trad? He loves the dubliners, Clancy bros, fureys etc.

    I wouldn't quite put them in the same genre as those you've mentioned.
    More of an uptempo trad, if that makes sense?
    But if he likes that kind of music, I couldn't imagine him not liking Stockton's Wing.

    I would say they are a little bit more like The Waterboys and Clannad.

    saw them play a few years back and they played quite a few trad tunes as well as their more pop/rock oriented stuff.

    the Fureys and the Dublin Legends (i.e. the latterday Dubliners) are playing over Xmas as well.
