5 in total I think, the main ones that go are the 2 on each side and the one needle bearing in the aluminium housing. The two other ones in the vertical shaft rarely give trouble, but worth changing if you got the whole lot out anyways. I'm not sure on price, they aren't hugely expensive, bar if the aluminium housing is damaged also, a new housing and needle bearing is 150 quid +vat from what I remember.

Have you any pics? Simple way is to burn them out with a welder, but you don't want to be doing that near plastic or aluminium.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Had to replace the housing last year it was less than a €100, bearings aren't very expensive.
3 bearings are all that need replacing usually.

Cheap bearings aren't expensive. Motor factors usually have cheap bearings. Look at SKF or NSK bearings. It' might cost you more but in the long run it will last longer.
I got sealed bearing the last time it did them. Saved the hassle of greasing them too often. Now I pump in grease to keep water out. so far so good.

That vari width aluminium housing the bearing and the nylon belt were 150 + vat when I last done one years ago. Went for an abbey spreader because it doesn't have one of them.

How does one remove the aluminum housing/adjuster in the flywheel? Is it a case of pressing it out or does it screw out?

Just pressed in, think it comes out either way.
    Very easily broken. :-(
