Advice on a build around €1000

1. What is your budget? Around €1000

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Gameing, recording. Video editing, and 3d work probly with udk etc

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No.

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? No. Have a full hd lg flatron. Its around 19"

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [Keyboard/Mouse/Wireless Card/Card Reader/Speakers/etc.] - no have all those already.

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? I would give it a try if i need to

8. How can you pay? Any method

9. When are you purchasing? Janurary

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Should be okay

Any advice would be great.
Would like an ssd, was looking at a 500gb crucial one.
Im trmpted to go with an i7, as i do plan on getting into video editing more over time

Also i will be getting a capture card at some point and will probly run dual graphics cards in the future so a good mobo is needed was looking at the gigabyte gameing 7.

Any advice would be great and also any places to get parts cheaper?

Thanks, iv been searching up all week.

Id prefer a windowed case, and might drop the ram down to 8gb, and buy more later

Id probly add in a 1 or 2 tb hdd aswel

Its mainly the gpu, i dont know what one to get, id like games to run well on highest settings

That is a terrible 1K build if gaming is the primary use (no offence to the poster of course as the spec is what you asked for).

If you absolutely must get an i7, you could get a Xeon 1230, same as an i7 and much cheaper.

That said I don't think you even need an i7, a good i5 would be fine, when you're not even sure yourself what it'll be used for yet other than gaming primarily.

Graphics card should be a GTX970 or R9 290 on that budget, 270X is a weak card in the context of a 1K build, more a card I would use in a €500 build.

500GB SSD is also very expensive, you would be much better off with a 240GB SSD and a 2TB Hard drive combination, but that is up to you.

PSU is a ridiculous price for a 500w, something like a Corsair CX750 will run dual GTX970's down the line and is cheaper.

Single 8Gb stick of RAM would be OK for now.

Thanks the advice, ill look up the xeon and the graphics card, i did put together a build myself but couldnt get the script to format it working.

I didnt think €200 was bad for the ssd, ill think about the smaller ones, money saved could be put towards something else.

I dont mind going over the 1000,
Im still leaning towards the i7, iv heard its very useful with 3d and video editing

I was looking at the build from a 3D modelling perspective and if that is so I would recommend 16Gb ram not 8.

I think ill try 8gb to start with, i can order another 8gb if i need to.

I just want to get the main parts sorted.

Have made my order, same as above but with crucial ram,

Didnt get a gpu because the gtx 970 was out of stock, ill get it on dabs.

Also got a 1tb hdd for xmas so didnt need that,

Now just to wait, paid with paypal so its all gone through.

Any idea what delivery times are like?

Not a good first experiance with hwvs, ups messed up my order, somehow the address was wrong on one box. And the accessory kit was missing from my case so now have to go out and buy motherboard standoffs so i can put it all together, would be hesitant to use them again
