    I have shares in the usa...o want to sl some but does it not have to be under 10k.?? Do they wire it to my bank acc, send a cheque...I dont want to get penalised...

    I believe that you can get a check sent to an address of your choosing, from your trading account. My trading company don't though, I have to do wireless transfers......speak to your friendly bank manager, it is at their discretion whether or not the taxman is notified, up to you whether you notify the taxman then for your end, generally anything under 10k is okay in most circumstances
